If it falls to the director to watch the safety and the protection of the staff and to assure the protection of the possessions of the LCS, each person has to worry about his own safety and about that of the others, in particular in a chemistry laboratory.
The ACMO (Agent in charge of the implementation of the rules of hygiene and safety) assist and advise the director. He informs the staff working in the LCS of the implementation of the orders of hygiene and safety.
Any accident must be declared immediately to the ACMO and to the director. In the case of wounds, an accident claim of the work must be filled with one of the administrative personnels.
The specific risks met in the LCS are the ones usually met in a chemistry laboratory (fire, chemical risks connected to the nature of products, the work on screen) or specific in our activities of research (pressure equipment, equipments under vacuum).
The ACMO is the councillor of the Director of the LCS in the field of the hygiene and of safety:
Analyze the workstation
Adapt the workstation to the human being
Propose measures appropriate to improve H&S rules
Participates in the inventories of the needs of training of the staff in hygiene and in safety
Watch the good behaviour of the register of hygiene and safety
[/starlist ]A SST (Rescuer-first-aid worker) is :
A member of staff of the LCS
A volunteer who brings first aid in the event of an accident
Can bring first aid help within the LCS:
at any time
to every victim of an occupational accident
looking forward to the arrival of the specialized help
Time: about 1 hour
You will watch a video containing the information necessary to obtain your degree Hygiene and Safety.
46 questions will follow this video, the questionnaire is divided by theme, if you do a mistake to a given theme you will have to replay the relevant chapters before resuming mcq where you left off.
Your degree will wait in our office upon arrival if you go to the end of the mcq.
This is a single answer question :
This is a multiple response question (which may, however, possess only one valid answer):
We recommend you switch to full-screen navigation during the test (F11).
Allow any staff or user to indicate a situation, which he considers as abnormal or susceptible to strike a blow either at the physical integrity and the health of the persons, or in the safety of the possessions.
Assure the traceability of the resolution of the problems
Keep a history of these descriptions to exploit it in the annual balance sheet of risk prevention and in the annual program of actions to be undertaken next year.
What can be noted in the H&S register?
Personal accidents: : where there is a “wound” requiring a medical certificate and medical expenses.
Damages to property: : where there is only damage to property (small or large). Any deterioration or destruction of a material element, whatever the cause, will be taken into account.
Mild accidents : where there is no consequence for the person (either wound or care) or any material damage. But every almost accident would have been able to cause a more serious wound. We often say about these events: “I was afraid! He almost fell! It was a near thing! He avoided it, beautiful!”.
The risks and the improvement of the working conditions:
Risks and nuisances connected to the working atmospheres (noise, lighting, temperature, aeration).
Risks connected to the works realized by an outside company
Risks of fire or explosion
Risks connected to electricity
Risks connected to a disregard of the rules of hygiene (toilets, restoration, addiction to smoking, …)
Risks connected to road traffic
Who can note in the H&S register ?
Either all the concerned persons, or every person having had knowledge of these events.
